Tems Performs At FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show

The MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was the epicenter of music and football magic as it hosted the grand finale of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Nigerian superstar Tems headlined an electrifying 15-minute halftime show alongside global icons Doja Cat and J Balvin, with surprise appearances from Coldplay and Emmanuel Kelly. Co-produced by FIFA and Global Citizen, the performance dazzled the crowd of over 81,000 fans with a blend of pulsating beats and soul-stirring vocals.

J Balvin kicked things off with high-energy renditions of his smash hits “Mi Gente” and “Reggaeton.” Tems then captivated the audience with her Grammy-winning anthem “Love Me JeJe,” her rich vocals and magnetic presence lighting up the stadium. Doja Cat followed with her global hit “Woman,” before Coldplay closed the show with a rousing version of “A Sky Full of Stars,” joined on stage by the inspiring Emmanuel Kelly.

Tems’ performance marked another milestone in her meteoric rise, following her Met Gala debut and contributions to major Hollywood soundtracks. While she’s yet to publicly comment on the performance, her presence on such a global stage underscores her growing influence.

On the pitch, the action was just as thrilling. Chelsea stunned European champions Paris Saint-Germain with a commanding 3-0 victory to become the first-ever winners of the newly expanded 32-team FIFA Club World Cup. Rising star Cole Palmer stole the show, netting two goals and assisting Joao Pedro for a third — all before halftime.

PSG, despite their Champions League triumph and 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in the final, were left shell-shocked. Their woes deepened when João Neves was shown a red card late in the match.

The star-studded event was attended by several high-profile figures, including former U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, adding an extra layer of spectacle to an already unforgettable night.

Chelsea’s win caps off a stellar season that included lifting the UEFA Conference League and securing a top-four Premier League finish — a remarkable turnaround and a sign of bigger things to come.
