UK Prosecutors Confirm Human Trafficking And Rape Charges Against Andrew And Tristan Tate

British prosecutors have officially confirmed that Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan face a combined 21 criminal charges in the United Kingdom, including rape, human trafficking, and assault.

In a statement released Wednesday, the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) revealed that charges had previously been authorized against the controversial internet personalities. Tristan Tate has been charged with 11 offenses, including rape, actual bodily harm, and human trafficking in connection with one alleged victim. Andrew Tate faces 10 charges, including rape, human trafficking, actual bodily harm, and controlling prostitution for financial gain, relating to three alleged victims.

Both brothers, who hold dual British and American citizenship, have denied any wrongdoing. A spokesperson declined to comment further on the newly disclosed charges.

The CPS also confirmed that an arrest warrant had been issued in the UK in 2024, leading to a European Arrest Warrant being executed while the Tates were already under investigation in Romania. As a result, Romanian courts ordered their extradition to the UK. However, that extradition has been delayed until the conclusion of the ongoing criminal proceedings against them in Romania.

In Romania, Andrew and Tristan Tate are facing separate charges, including human trafficking and forming an organized criminal group. They continue to deny all allegations in both jurisdictions.

Andrew Tate, a former professional kickboxer turned social media influencer, has amassed millions of followers by promoting views centered on male dominance, wealth, and misogyny. Alongside his brother, Tate has become a prominent figure in online communities that advocate male supremacy and anti-feminist ideologies, often referred to as the “manosphere.”

In addition to the criminal charges, Andrew Tate is also the subject of a civil lawsuit in the UK, brought by four women who accuse him of rape. He has denied all claims, with a representative previously stating that he “categorically denies these unproven and untested allegations.”

The confirmation from the CPS adds a new dimension to the legal scrutiny facing the Tate brothers, who have become lightning rods in debates around online extremism, gender violence, and digital influence.
