EFCC Labels BBC Report on VDM’s Arrest as ‘Fake News,’ Denies Confirmation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied confirming the arrest of VDM to BBC News or providing any reason for his detention.

Earlier, BBC had reported that EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale allegedly told them that VDM was arrested following multiple petitions and would soon be arraigned in court.

However, in a swift reaction via its official Instagram page, the EFCC branded the BBC's report as "fake news," insisting no such confirmation was made.
