Troops Ambush And Neutralize Suspected ISWAP Informant In Borno State, Nigeria

Troops of Sector 3, MNJTF/Operation Hadin Kai, successfully neutralized a suspected ISWAP informant during a well-executed ambush in the Karagawaru area of Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State.

The operation, part of the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity IV, was carried out by soldiers of the 29 Task Force Brigade in the early hours of Friday, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

A military source revealed that the troops had positioned themselves at a suspected crossing point. At about 12:30 a.m., they spotted and swiftly engaged the informant.

"Troops neutralized one suspected Boko Haram informant and recovered a locally fabricated Dane gun along with a bicycle used by the suspect," the source confirmed.

The operation concluded successfully, with all troops returning to base at approximately 3:40 a.m. without any casualties.
