Kanye West Threatens "Legal War" Over North West's Name After Controversial Song Release
Another day, another Kanye West social media meltdown — but this time, the target is his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. West has threatened to "go to war" over the ownership of trademarks related to their daughter North West's name, igniting a fresh wave of drama.
Kim Devastated Over Song Featuring North and Diddy
Kim Kardashian is reportedly devastated after West released a new track involving their 11-year-old daughter, North West, and the troubled Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently facing multiple court cases for rape and sex trafficking.
The song, titled "LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE," debuted on Saturday on West’s X account, sparking immediate backlash from Kim and threats of legal action.
Diddy’s Involvement Raises Eyebrows
The track allegedly opens with Diddy’s voice thanking West for his support as he awaits trial on sex trafficking charges. It also features verses from Diddy’s son, Christian "King" Combs, and a brief appearance by North, who raps, "When you see me shining, then you see the light."
According to DailyMail, Kim attempted to block the song’s release by sending cease-and-desist letters and requesting an emergency hearing. While West reportedly agreed to delay the release, the song ultimately went public.
Kanye’s Heated Threats
West added fuel to the fire by posting and later deleting screenshots of a heated text exchange with Kim. In the messages, West threatened legal warfare over North’s involvement, writing:
"Amend it or I'm going to war."
Kim allegedly responded, insisting she holds the copyright to North’s name and had already taken legal steps to protect her daughter from being associated with the track.
North’s Studio Session Sparks More Drama
Insiders claim North recently joined West in the studio, where she recorded her vocals. West reportedly promised her that the song would lead to the launch of his upcoming Sunday Service revival.
Kim, who is studying to become a lawyer, is determined to protect her children. She’s reportedly asking a judge to restrict the kids’ exposure to what she calls "hateful speech" from West.
Diddy’s Legal Troubles Loom Large
Diddy — who has gone by names like Puff Daddy and P. Diddy — remains in custody after being arrested in 2024 on charges of sex crimes, racketeering, and prostitution. He’s been denied bail multiple times but maintains his innocence. His trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
A Family Battle Far from Over
This latest incident adds to the ongoing public fallout between Kim and Kanye, who share four children. With both legal and personal tensions at an all-time high, this battle is far from over.
