Bomb Scare At Tesla Showroom Amid Threats Against Elon Musk
Multiple explosive devices were reportedly found inside a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas, on Monday morning as threats against CEO Elon Musk continue to escalate nationwide.
According to Mail Online, Austin Police Department officers responded to the electric vehicle showroom shortly after 8 a.m. following an anonymous tip about bombs planted inside the building.
Authorities swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered several "suspicious devices" at the Tesla dealership. The Austin Police Department Bomb Squad was called in to handle the situation.
The incendiary devices — designed to cause large-scale destruction — were safely secured without incident, according to the police.
It remains unclear who planted the devices or when they were placed. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
This alarming incident follows a series of recent attacks targeting Tesla vehicles, including cases of vandalism and arson.
Former President Donald Trump, who recently purchased a Tesla Cybertruck, condemned the violence against Tesla as "domestic terrorism."
Reports suggest that Tesla has been targeted due to Musk’s role in Trump’s administration. Musk, who currently leads the Department of Government Efficiency, has made waves by aggressively cutting federal spending and reducing government staff across the country.
Musk recently claimed there’s a plot to assassinate him and sabotage Tesla.
Speaking on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Musk stated that his crackdown on government fraud and waste has made him a target.
“When you take away money that people are receiving fraudulently, they get very upset,” Musk said. “And now they want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud. They want to hurt Tesla because we’re putting an end to massive government waste and corruption. Bad people do bad things.”
Police continue to investigate the motive and those responsible for the bomb threat.
