Peter Obi Is Not Going To Get A Presidential Ticket In ADC, PDP, LP —  Daniel Bwala

Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, says he is confident the president will witness a dramatic surge in votes from the South-East during the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s current affairs programme Wednesday night, Bwala predicted Tinubu could amass up to two million votes from the region — at least four to six times higher than the 127,370 votes he secured in 2023.

> “Let me take you zone by zone. In the South-East, I guarantee President Bola Tinubu will get more than four times, if not six times, the votes he got in 2023. He’ll get up to two million,” Bwala declared.

When asked how Tinubu could achieve such numbers if Labour Party’s Peter Obi is on the ballot, Bwala insisted Obi’s political influence had significantly declined. He claimed the region’s large voting population would favour Tinubu and alleged Obi was set to play only a supporting role in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

> “He’s not going to get a ticket in any party — ADC, PDP, or LP. The way things are going, he might not even get a vice-presidential ticket. More than 50% of his 2023 votes are gone because they weren’t built on agenda or politics, but on rhetoric and division. Nigerians’ eyes are now open,” Bwala argued.

Bwala also pointed to recent defections of southern governors to the APC and endorsements from opposition governors as signs that Tinubu’s popularity and electoral chances in the South-East are on the rise ahead of 2027.
