J. COLE AND LIL PUMP INTERVIEW EACH OTHER
What’s beef? J. Cole and Lil Pump appeared to have settled their differences when they sat down to interview each other recently.
The face-to-face interview took place at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami earlier this month (May 11). A preview of their conversation finds the Dreamville rapper and “Gucci Gang” hitmaker discussing an incident involving weed and a gun, which may be a reference to Pump’s February arrest.
“The weed shit,” says Pump (via XXL). “[It] smelled like weed in my house. People get tired of that shit…So we started arguing, and I told him the same shit like, ‘Bro, you’re fucking bombing.’ And he got mad. He tried to fight me and shit. That’s when I pulled the strap out on him.”
The two have had a contentious relationship since the release of Cole’s KOD track “1985 (Intro to ‘The Fall Off’),” when Cole called out mumble rappers. Once the song was released, Pump responded by calling Cole a “lame ass jit.” But their feud seems to be over. When asked about their relationship, Pump recently said, “We on good terms.”
Cole is gearing up for his “KOD Tour” with Young Thug, which kicks off Aug. 9 in Miami. Meanwhile, Lil Pump has joined the performer lineup for the BET Experience at L.A.’s Staples Center on June 23.
