Paris Jackson Says She Didn't "Storm Out" Of Fashion Show; Explains Reason For Leaving
Jackson is clapping back at reports alleging she caused a ruckus before exiting.
Paris Jackson attended the runway presentation for the Dior Resort 2019 collection, which was inspired by the Mexican tradition of Escaramuza, an equestrian sport. However, it was her swift exit from the proceedings that caught the attention of the press.
A source for The Hollywood Reporter notes how "Paris Jackson arrived in a patchwork dress and red velvet sandals, but pulled a Kristen Stewart-in-Cannes move and removed her high heels before entering the show space barefoot. The vocal animal rights activist then stood up and left as soon as the horses entered the arena, appearing to be upset by the large crowd and loud music."
Jackson addressed why she left the presentation, citing conflicting views with how animals were presented and treated during the runway extravaganza. Taking to Twitter, she argued "i did not “storm out” of the show. i quietly got up and walked out trying my hardest to not cause a scene, because i do not support animals being branded and whipped. not trying to become enemies in the fashion world in any way, but i will always be myself."
Jackson has always been outspoken over social media, routinely calling out individuals for lightening/darkening her skin tone in photos, while addressing any other negative press she may be involved in.
