Donald Glover may be headed to Wakanda. The actor-rapper is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Black Panther 2.


According to Metro.co.uk, director Ryan Coogler is in “informal talks” with Glover to play a new character in the sequel to Disney and Marvel’s blockbuster.

“Ryan Coogler is currently mapping out Black Panther‘s sequel and has written in a number of new characters that movie-goers will be introduced to when it premieres,” says an insider. “One of those characters, if he gets his wish, will be played by Childish Gambino. Nothing is set in stone but ‘informal talks’ [are happening] between Ryan, Gambino, and reps from Marvel and Disney to see if they can make it happen.”

ISWAP Insurgents Assassinate Village Head In Borno State, Nigeria

Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly killed the traditional ruler of Kinnari, a remote village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The brutal attack took place on the night of Friday, August 1, around 9:00 p.m., when the insurgents stormed the village and gunned down the 65-year-old village head, Goni Kinnari, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, swiftly mobilised to the area and successfully repelled the attackers.   The Trump administration deported eight migrants from Djibouti to South Sudan on Friday, following a series of fast-moving legal battles and despite warnings from their attorneys that they face the risk of torture, imprisonment, or even death. The deportation went ahead after a federal judge in Massachusetts denied an emergency request by the migrants' lawyers to block their removal. U.S. District Judge Brian E. Murphy wrote that a recent Supreme Court ruling allowing the deportations to proceed was “binding” and that the legal arguments before him were “substantially similar” to those already decided.
