Tyson Fury Plans Multi-Fight Future After Upcoming Bouts

Tyson Fury has alleviated concerns that his upcoming matches against Francis Ngannou and Oleksandr Usyk will mark his final foray into the boxing ring.

The 35-year-old is slated to face the former UFC heavyweight champion in Saudi Arabia on October 28, just over a year after announcing his second retirement from the sport.

This brief hiatus lasted only four months before he returned to the ring to take on Derek Chisora in December 2022. Now, Fury has not only disclosed that he has no intention of slowing down but is actively pursuing a multi-fight contract following the highly anticipated bouts.

"I'm looking to secure another 10-fight deal after this," he informed ESPN. "So, I'm going to explore my options and see who offers the best deal for another 10 fights. What else is there? I retire, with plenty of money, numerous accomplishments, and I'm 35 years old. What am I going to do? This is what truly makes me happy—fighting."

Fury continued, "This is all I've ever done, and it's the only thing that has ever brought me happiness. So, it would be unwise to walk away from it now, especially when I'm earning millions of dollars and deriving immense joy from it."

Before Fury can embark on making future plans, he has two eagerly anticipated fights on his schedule. His first bout, against Ngannou—who will be making his professional boxing debut—will kick off Riyadh Season next week.

This exhibition match, titled the "Battle of the Baddest," will not contribute to either fighter's official records. However, Fury must ensure that he exits the bout without any injuries as he prepares to face Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship, tentatively scheduled for December 23.

According to ESPN, the deal includes a two-way rematch clause that is likely to result in another bout next year.
