Reactions As WizKid Refuses To Drink A Shot Offered To Him At A Lagos Nightclub

Wizkid, the Afrobeats phenomenon, caused a stir on the internet when a video of his wild actions in a Lagos nightclub went viral.


After his beloved mother passed away, the Starboy maestro, who had been operating beneath the radar for months, withdrew from the nightclub scene and avoided the spotlight.

But a few days after a lavish farewell party for his mother, Big Wiz, and his group went to Victoria Island, Lagos’ De Chandelier Night Club, to let loose and have a wild time.

WizKid was seen rocking to the loud music while hidden in a club corner in a widely shared video clip.

A shot was suddenly thrown at him, and he smiled and handed the drink to someone else, sparking a rush of comments on social media.

Fans who witnessed his refusal to take the picture were compelled to comment. Some conjectured that artists are now more watchful of what they eat and drink in the wake of Mohbad’s terrible episode involving poisoned drinks. Some felt that WizKid’s action revealed a pervasive suspicion of other people.
