Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson loses mom

 Popular 33-year-old Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has lost her mother.

  The actress who shared the sad news on social media asked fans and friends for privacy as she mourns the loss of her mother with her family.

The actress took to her Instagram page to share the tragic news. She further expressed that her family would appreciate prayers from fans and friends to deal with the trying time they are facing.

She said: "It deeply saddens me to say that my beloved mother is gone. This is a trying time for my family and we would appreciate your prayers, even as we plead for our privacy at this time. Thank you." 

Mercy Johnson comes from a military background in Kogi state. Her father, Daniel Johnson, was a navy officer and her mother, Elizabeth Johnson, was a trader. Despite being a military man, her father had little to take care of the family and Mercy had to take on numerous jobs to survive.
