Jim Carrey sounds off on NFL's anthem policy.

Jim Carrey is calling on corporations to rethink their relationship with the NFL, following the league's new anthem policy that was announced last week. Carrey took to twitter this morning to blast the NFL for "exploiting players" and siding with a "draft-dodging racist" in President Trump.

"NFL -- who exploits players for 3yrs then abandons them to a lifetime of pain -- sided with a draft-dodging racist who uses fake patriotism to squash peaceful protest," Carrey posted on Twitter.

"Corporations shld rethink sponsoring moral cowardice before we start asking: whose side is Nationwide really on?"

In addition to those comments, the 56-year old actor also shared one of his patented original paintings, depicting a screaming Trump at an NFL-branded podium along with several major NFL sponsors such as Gatorade, Ford, Gillette, Campbell's, Pepsi and Old Spice.
Trump spoke with "Fox & Friends" last week after the ruling was announced and said that players who don't stand proudly for the national anthem "maybe shouldn't be in the country."

"I think that's good," Trump said of the NFL's anthem policy in an interview that was taped last Wednesday. "I don't think people should be staying in the locker rooms, but still I think it's good. You have to stand proudly for the national anthem. Or you shouldn't be playing, you shouldn't be there. Maybe you shouldn't be in the country."

Under the new policy, players and personnel who do not wish to stand are permitted to stay in the locker room, but if they're on the field they must "respect the flag" or else the team will be fined.
