Cameron Diaz Sets the Record Straight on 'Back in Action' and Jamie Foxx

In a recent podcast episode of "Lipstick on the Rim," Cameron Diaz passionately addressed the swirling rumors surrounding her return to the big screen in "Back in Action," a Netflix movie marking her comeback after a decade-long hiatus. Despite misleading whispers, Diaz was quick to assert that working with Jamie Foxx was an absolute delight.

Expressing her frustration, Diaz vehemently dismissed the negative chatter about the movie set. "I really detest all the nonsense circulating about our set," she declared, adding that it almost made her want to "scream at the top of your lungs, like, 'What are you talking about?'"

Describing Foxx as the "cheerleader for the entire crew," Diaz praised his professionalism on every level, dispelling any notion that he made the set unpleasant. She acknowledged the natural hiccups that occur during production but emphasized that the overall experience was fantastic.

Diaz addressed the speculations surrounding Foxx's hospitalization in April, carefully choosing not to divulge details but confirming that the Oscar-winner is thriving now.

Regarding the "crazy stuff" she heard about the set, Diaz expressed her anger at false claims, including rumors that Foxx made everything miserable and that she would never make another movie because of him. Attempting to involve Foxx in setting the record straight, she admired his classy response: "Let them say it – we know the truth."

Diaz and Foxx, who previously collaborated on 2014's "Annie" and 1999's "Any Given Sunday," shared a strong professional bond. Diaz revealed that the "only reason" she returned for "Back in Action" was the opportunity to work with Foxx again.

Reflecting on her comeback after a decade, Diaz likened it to "riding a bike." The action-comedy, which also stars Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close, is poised to hit Netflix in 2024, promising a thrilling cinematic experience for fans eagerly anticipating Diaz's return to the spotlight.
