Crowd Chants "Fuck Drake" During Pusha T's Set At Governor's Ball
And it begins.
We knew this one was coming at some point.
The arrival of Pusha T’s DAYTONAand the brewing beef between the G.O.O.D. Music president and Drake meant that his first live performance since dropping the album would be one of epic proportions.
This weekend, Push graced the stage at this year’s iteration of the Governor’s Ball music festival and the general consensus is that he delivered. It marked the first time he’d be performing key cuts from the DAYTONA album that most are already deeming a classic. And while he stayed away from directly mentioning his current battle with Drake, he did make sure to remind the crowd just what season it was as he spoke two very key words: “Surgical summer.”
Naturally, the DAYTONA cuts like "Games We Play" and "What Would Meek Do?" were in good company as King Push also ran hits like “Nosetalgia" and "Numbers On The Board."
The only Drake diss in sight came when he performed his heated “Infrared” track to close out the set, but that didn’t mean the crowd didn’t have a few things to get off their chest. During few moments of silence, festivalgoers took the opportunity to yell out “Fuck Drake,” but Push seems keen on letting the lyrics do the talking as he routinely put his hand up to calm the crowd’s chants.
