BBC Suspends Prominent Star Following Allegations of Paying £35,000 to Teenager for Explicit Images

A prominent BBC star has reportedly been suspended pending an investigation following allegations that he paid a vulnerable teenager over £35,000 for explicit images.

According to reports, the well-known presenter allegedly initiated the payments when the teenager was 17, providing them with funds that were later used to support a crack cocaine addiction.

The child's mother, who made these shocking claims, expressed her disgust whenever she saw the man on television.

It is alleged that the star requested specific performances from the teenager, who would then comply by sharing explicit content. The family formally lodged a complaint with the BBC in May, imploring the corporation to address the mistreatment of their now 20-year-old child.

The star is said to have sent substantial sums of money, including a single deposit of £5,000 into the teenager's bank account. The distressed mother held the BBC man responsible for ruining her child's life, as he not only exploited their innocence but also funded their addiction to crack cocaine, a substance that could potentially be fatal.

The presenter at the heart of the investigation has reportedly been taken off air

Expressing her anguish, she said, "Whenever I see him on TV, I feel sick. I blame this BBC man for destroying my child's life—taking my child's innocence and providing money for crack cocaine that could kill my child."

The explicit messages between the star and teenager reportedly began in 2020. The family claimed that the star did not conceal his identity and even sent photographs while he was at work.

The mother informed the Sun that her child went from being a happy-go-lucky youngster to a ghost-like crack addict within a span of three years.

Despite the family's complaint, it is alleged that the star continued to send money and remained on air.

In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for the BBC informed NoireTV, "We take all allegations very seriously and have established procedures in place to address them proactively. If we receive information necessitating further investigation or examination, we will take appropriate action. This includes actively reaching out to individuals who have approached us to gain a better understanding of the situation. If new information emerges, whether internally or from external sources such as newspapers, we will handle it in accordance with our internal processes."
