Man found dead in hotel room after quarrel with his wife in Rivers

A man identified simply as ThankGod has been found dead in a hotel room at Eleparanwo in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

 

It was gathered that the man had checked into the hotel the previous night after he allegedly had a quarrel with his wife.

A staff member of the hotel, who found his body, told Punch that the man broke a mirror in the room he lodged, adding that he suspected the man used it to slit his throat.

 

The hotel worker said they became suspicious after nothing was heard from their guest after his time had elapsed.

 

"We went through the back and pushed the air conditioner to see if someone could go inside and open the bolt. In the process, we broke the door open. Everybody, even his family members were here. They came in and saw him. He broke our mirror and maybe used it to cut his throat. We saw the mirror in the bath. They (his family) saw everything and started shouting.” the worker said. 

Spokesman of the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, said he heard of the incident, but had yet to get a confirmation from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area.

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the BBC released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members. NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league."
