Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo has accepted a 2-year suspended prison sentence and has paid £12.1million to the Spanish tax authorities.
According to Daily Mail, the 33-year-old is trying to cut all ties with Spain after his exit from Real Madrid.
He has reportedly deposited the sum of £12.1million and will pay another £4.7 million in fines and costs.
As first offences for administrative crimes involving terms of two years or less are not custodial in Spain, the World Footballer of the Year will not have to serve his prison sentence.

ISWAP Insurgents Assassinate Village Head In Borno State, Nigeria

Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly killed the traditional ruler of Kinnari, a remote village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The brutal attack took place on the night of Friday, August 1, around 9:00 p.m., when the insurgents stormed the village and gunned down the 65-year-old village head, Goni Kinnari, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, swiftly mobilised to the area and successfully repelled the attackers.
