Househelp sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for sexually assaulting employer's 2-year-old daughter

A court in Nyamira County, Kenya, has sentenced a 25-year-old house help to 15 years in jail after she pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting her employer's a 2-year-old daughter. 

 

The accused; Martha Bosire, was arraigned before Keroka Senior Resident Magistrate Simon Arome for committing the offence on diverse between November 14, 2021, and December 9, 2021.

She confessed to having inserted her fingers into the private parts of the daughter of her employer on separate days and thereafter used spirit to treat the wound and gave the baby sweets to buy her silence

In mitigation, the house help told the court that she accepted wrongdoing, and pleaded for lenience arguing that she has no parents and she has a young baby who depends on her for upkeep. She promised not to repeat a similar offence in the future.

 

The prosecution told the court that the grandmother to the minor got concerned when she checked her private parts and found that she had visible injuries after which they reported the matter to the police.

 

The baby was taken to Borabu Sub County Hospital where she was treated and it was established that she was sexually assaulted.

 

The house help shocked those in court by her calmness and easy acceptance of the charges presented against her and appeared undeterred as she was taken away to start her jail term.

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the BBC released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members. NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league."
