Chloe Smith, 6, was walking with her father through the roads of Atlanta, US when she spotted something shiny amongst a pile of trash..
She was a very curious girl, and her father had warned her many times about digging in the garbage. This time, though, it paid off! What she had discovered was an Olympic gold medal.
"She’s always picking up stuff, always finding things," her mom said said. "Both her and her dad always want to bring stuff home."
The medal belonged to Joe Jacobi, who won the medal in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics as a slalom canoeist.
