A 16-year-old high school junior has been fatally shot by her father after being mistaken for an intruder, authorities in Ohio said.

 

The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Dec. 29, in Canal Winchester, about 15 miles from Columbus.

Police say a 911 caller reported around 4:30am that someone had been shot in their home after the security system went off. The caller has been identified as the teen’s mother, who can be heard on the call telling authorities her daughter was shot in the garage by her father, who believed she was someone breaking in.

 

Audio of the call captures the shock and distress of both parents as they plead with 16-year-old Janae Hairston to wake up.

 

She was rushed to Mount Carmel East Hospital but succumbed to her injuries about an hour later.

 

Police are investigating the case and are expected to forward it to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, but it was not immediately clear if charges would be filed.

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the BBC released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members. NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league."
