Former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated the holiday season by donating 25 tiny homes to veterans.

 

Fox11 reported that the 74-year-old actor paid $250,000 to purchase the structures, located in West Los Angeles.

Schwarzenegger had taken to social media to explain the project dear to his heart. He wrote; 

 

“Today, I celebrated Christmas early. The 25 homes I donated for homeless veterans were installed here in LA. It was fantastic to spend some time with our heroes and welcome them into their new homes.

“I want to thank @villageforvets for arranging the homes and being a fantastic partner, @secvetaffairs, @amvetshq and everyone who worked with us and made this possible. We proved that when we all work together, we can solve any problem.”

Village for Vets also told The Post that there were “just under 4,000 homeless veterans in Los Angeles at the last count in 2020.”

 

They said in a statement; 

 

“The tiny shelter project to which Governor Schwarzenegger so generously donated is a partnership with the VA and is designed to be a transitional respite for homeless Veterans between living on the street and entering a higher level of care – ultimately permanent housing."

 

Village for Vets said their programs “make an immediate impact on the lives of the Veterans we serve,” evident in an account from one of the vets, named Bruce Henry Cooper, who told the local station that the project has been a “life-saver” for him. “He has not forgotten us,” Cooper said of Schwarzenegger.

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the BBC released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members. NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league." They did, however, note that they "did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures."
