A 19-year-old man from Aurora, Colorado has been arrested for brutally stabbing his stepfather to death and posting the final moments of his life on Snapchat.
The Denver Post reports, Nickolas Vinson, 19 murdered his stepfather Oscar Lemar Owensby, 50, at their home in Aurora, Colorado, on Friday night.
Police say he lashed out and stabbed Owensby with a seven-inch blade following an argument that allegedly began with the man asking his stepson to do more chores and contribute to household expenses.
He reportedly stabbed him several times in the neck, back and chest, before posting a video to Snapchat to brag about the murder, as his mother Celena Vinson screamed in horror.
“Hey guys I just killed him. I just killed him. I just killed him,” Vinson could be heard said. “Lemar, can you hear me? Can you hear me?
No!,” his mother screamed.
It was also revealed that the pair had been arguing over text messages until Nickolas arrived home and confronted Owensby face to face.
According to police records, he summoned Owensby to his basement bedroom and plunged the seven-inch blade into his back, shoulders and neck several times.
After the attack, the terrified Nickolas who claimed that Owensby had been threatening to throw him out, fled home and called his brother Kyle, telling him about the attack.
He also spoke with police on the phone and told them he would hand himself in but was saying goodbye to his friends first. Nickolas was later arrested in his car in Aurora.
Oscar who died in a hospital not long after the attack, had spent 14-years with Nick's mother Celena Vinson before the horrible incident.
According to Mail Online reports, the 19-year-old is currently being held without bond at the Arapahoe County Jail, on a single first-degree murder charge.
