Meek Mill, months after his break up with rapper Nicki Minaj, has said that ending his relationship with her was a loss for him.
According to Rap Up, in a game of wins and losses on a radio station Power 99, when asked about his relationship with the rapper, he said:
It was a win. I always wanted Nicki my whole life. I got Nicki when I was… like I came up. I always wanted Nicki my whole life. I used to talk…remember I had the rap about it. I bagged that. So that was a win of course.
But about the breakup, he said: “Of course breaking up with anyone you love is a loss period…It’s so easy to tell the truth now.”
The couple had made their relationship public back in 2015, when Nicki posted a photo on Instagram of them holding hands.
Nicki Minaj posted a tweet about being single and focused on work, sparking rumours of a breakup.
Meek Mill also address his beef with Drake, calling that a win for him.
He said:
That’s a win. It’s always a win. There was a lot of people around me before that.
They thought it slowed down a little bit. I’m spending cake on these dudes left and right. We going 5-star everything. Foreign everything.
The minute it looked like it slowed down, I was in the studio with 3-4 people. Had to hustle and get it back, so I needed to remove them. I won.
I won the whole situation. It made me into a monster. They put my back against the wall…It helped me turn into the next level.
I was too comfortable. I had Nicki. I’m getting all this money, living in Beverly Hills, getting high. There was nothing else I wanted, at that point.
Now, it’s time to get this money. What the hell was you doing, ni**a? Real talk. Now, I’ma show you what I’m doing. I’ma show you who Meek Mill is.
