At least 30 vehicles were destroyed when fire broke out yesterday at a Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station in Ogba (read here)
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, announced on Tuesday, April 28, that the fire outbreak at Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, destroyed 30 vehicles.
The filling station is located at YayaYaya Abatan bus Stop, off Colleage Road, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Oke-Osanyintolu said a tanker with 33,000 litres of diesel caught fire while discharging its contents into an underground tank at the NNPC filling station. Fortunately, no casualty nor fatality was recorded.

Also during the fire, a man reportedly made away with a Range Rover Sport 2008 model while helping to move cars from a car dealership close to the burning petrol station (read here).
