The Edo State Government has announced 4 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 29.

Recall that yesterday April 27, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said there are 25 cases of Coronavirus in the South-South state. 

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Patrick Okundia who spoke to journalists on Tuesday April 28, said a total of 254 suspected cases have been tested as of April 27.

He also disclosed that the state has recorded three deaths since the outbreak of the deadly disease. There is a total of 18 active cases in the state. 

Okundia said;

“And in all of these, we have a total of 29 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 194 of these suspected cases has been confirmed negative.
“We have a case fatality rate of 10.3 per cent of the 29 confirmed cases we have with three deaths.
“So far, we have discharged eight persons. The total active cases that are currently under treatment in Edo is 18 and these are distributed as follows.
“We have nine of these cases in Stella Obasanjo Hospital, three in University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
“While three are also receiving treatment in Irrua Specialist Teaching hospital, all our active cases are stable and they are responding to treatment.
“We want to also let you know that about 31 samples have been sent and results are still pending."

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the BBC released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members.   The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league." They did, however, note that they "did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures."
