Sri Lanka's Catholic churches have been asked to suspend all public gatherings over security fears, as several terror suspects remain unaccounted for over the Easter terror attacks.
A Catholic priest said: "On the advice of the security forces we are keeping all churches closed."
For now, there will be no daily and Sunday Masses in Catholic churches in certain areas in Sri Lanka Private services for burials will still be carried out, but no public masses are scheduled until further notice.
So far, police have arrested 75 people in relation to the Easter Sunday multiple bomb explosions which killed about 359 people and injured over 500. However, tensions remain high with several suspects still on the loose.
