The 2018 BAFTA Tea Party held on Saturday (January 5) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
Since 2003, BAFTA Los Angeles has hosted the TV Tea Party honoring excellence in Television. The party is held on the Saturday afternoon prior to The Primetime Emmy Awards in the gardens of one of Los Angeles’ luxury hotels.
The BAFTA Tea Party welcomes nominees, members and guests for a uniquely elegant gathering.
This year’s event was attended by Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Spike Lee, Thandie Newton, Regina King, Emily Blunt, Isla Fisher, Amy Adams, Eric Lange, Gemma Chan, Jason Ralph, Kathryn Hahn, Linda Cardellini, Patricia Arquette, Patricia Clarkson, Glenn Close, Rachel Brosnahan, Barry Jenkins, Colman Domingo, KiKi Layne, and more.

ISWAP Insurgents Assassinate Village Head In Borno State, Nigeria

Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly killed the traditional ruler of Kinnari, a remote village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The brutal attack took place on the night of Friday, August 1, around 9:00 p.m., when the insurgents stormed the village and gunned down the 65-year-old village head, Goni Kinnari, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, swiftly mobilised to the area and successfully repelled the attackers. The remains of the slain traditional leader were evacuated to the General Hospital in Damasak, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
