Parents in Abuja now pay extra tuition to have their kids learn how to speak British English

Some parents in Abuja have revealed that they do pay extra tuition of 15,000 - 25,000 to have their children learn how to speak British English. 
According to some of the parents, they believe that their children speaking British English gives them an edge over other students and it shows that they have received a proper formal education.
The classes where the British English is taught is separate from the usual English classes. These classes are often called Diction, Phonics and Elocution.
In as much as the classes are not compulsory, some parents are forced to pay for it because of how popular it has become.
