Suspected kidnappers have abducted an assistant commissioner of police in the Zamfara state police command, Emmanuel Adeniyi. According to reports, Adeniyi who is in charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state police command, was abducted by suspected kidnappers while driving with three members of his family along the Dandume/Birnin Gwari road (Katsina/Kaduna) road on his way back to Gusau the capital of Zamfara state yesterday September 27th. 
The kidnappers are yet to contact the family of the victims. The police are making efforts to free the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.

ISWAP Insurgents Assassinate Village Head In Borno State, Nigeria

Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly killed the traditional ruler of Kinnari, a remote village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The brutal attack took place on the night of Friday, August 1, around 9:00 p.m., when the insurgents stormed the village and gunned down the 65-year-old village head, Goni Kinnari, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, swiftly mobilised to the area and successfully repelled the attackers. The remains of the slain traditional leader were evacuated to the General Hospital in Damasak, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
