Family mourns the passing of Chief (Dr.) Mike Mbanefo Ogbalu, who was awarded Best Nigerian Health Administrator for year 2000

Chief (Dr.) Mike Mbanefo Ogbalu, who was awarded Best Nigerian Health Administrator for the year 2000, is to be laid to rest on Friday, July 31.
The physician, who was also the Ichie Ebubedike of Abagana in Anambra state, died after a very brief illness on Saturday 29th of February 2020. He was 79 years old.
The funeral arrangement for the late physician has been announced by his family as they mourn him.
The Service of Songs holds on July 30 at the Ogbalu family compound, Abagana, Anambra State. His funeral service will hold at 9am on July 31 at St James Anglican Church Adagbe-Abagana. Interment follows at the Ogbalu family compound.
Dr. Mike Ogbalu received several honours, chieftaincy and academic awards in his lifetime.
He served humanity in many capacities including as a Vice President of the University of Ibadan Students Union, a Consultant community physician, Director of Public Health (Anambra State) and as Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency.
He was an academic, a doctor, a sportsman, a cabinet chief, an author and a public servant.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
