#SexForGrades: Education minister tells female students to stop going to lecturers unnecessarily to avoid abuse

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has advised female students against going to lecturers unnecessarily to avoid being sexually harassed. He also warned the female students to desist from harassing their lecturers.
The statement was made at the University of Port Harcourt during the unveiling of a policy document against sexual harassment in the institution.
Adamu, who was represented by the Assistant Director, Tertiary Department of the ministry, Mrs. Ijeoma Duru, made reference to the recent Sex For Grades documentary done by BBC. 
He pointed out the need for female students to study hard in order to make good results on their own and to be able to defend their certificates.
He went on to caution students to avoid going to lecturers unnecessarily and to also stop harassing their lecturers sexually.
He commended the management of the university for being the first to unveil a policy document against sexual harassment, adding that the sexual harassment policy launched by UNIPORT should be adopted by other tertiary institutions. The minister pointed out that the policy will go a long way in curbing the menace of sexual harassment in Nigerian higher institutions.
Reading a statement from the Minister of Education, Mrs. Ijeoma Duru said: "The Federal Ministry of Education is embarrassed with the allegations of sexual harassment in Nigerian higher institutions.
"Girls should read their books and be able to defend their certificates. They should stop going to lecturers unnecessarily and should not harass their lecturers.
"We are recommending UNIPORT’s Sexual Harassment Policy to other higher institutions in Nigeria."

Characters In BBC’s Documentary On TB Joshua Unknown To Us – Synagogue Church

  The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) has countered the BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, known as TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN. SCOAN described the documentary against TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. The church, in a statement signed by its Public Affairs Director, Mr Dare Adejumo, said the statement was aimed at disabusing public minds from the report. NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women.
