The spate of armed robbery in the metropolitan Lagos State is not even sparing the house of God as six robbers were said to have invaded an Apostolic Church in Mushin, battered the Pastor of the church, Rev.Hachariah Adelakun and carted away some amount of money before they escaped .
The incident happened at the church district located at 22 Awanatu street in Ajao area of Mushin.
P.M .EXPRESS gathered that the teenage robbers stormed the church premises early in the morning, broke the doors and windows of the church auditorium before they made their ways to the offering boxes for money but they could not find any.
They then moved to the resident pastor’s house within the premises, they forced the doors open and battered the pastor at gunpoint.
They ransacked the whole house, demanding for all the money  realized from the church’s activities. They also stole some phones, CCTV camera and other properties before they escaped.
The incident was reported to the police. One of the suspects, David Timothy was arrested and chargeed before Ogba Magistrate court with conspiracy and stealing .
The police alleged that the suspect and others at large conspired and burgled and robbed a place of worship.
Timothy however pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.k.O. Fadiyi granted the suspect a bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
