Abia Commissioner for Environment, Solomon Ogunji, has died.

A statement from the state Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi-Kalu, said Ogunji died in the early hours of today Saturday May 23 in Aba at the Abia State Teaching Hospital.

According to Okiyi-Kalu, Ogunji died after a brief illness associated with high blood pressure.

The statement reads
“It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the demise of a member of Abia State Executive Council and the Honorable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji, who passed away on Saturday, 23rd May 2020, at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba, after a brief illness related to high blood pressure.
“Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who received the sad news with shock yesterday (Saturday) has personally communicated and condoled with the family of the bereaved and is currently in mourning.
“We pray that the Almighty God will give the family of Dr. Ogunji the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and rest his soul in the bosom of the Lord.”

Ogunji was Special Adviser Political to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and chairman Abia Urban Renewal Committee. He was 2019 aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abia South Senatorial District but lost to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in the party’s primaries.

NBA Suspends Canada’s Joshua Primo For 4 Games For Exposing Himself To Women

  The NBA has suspended former San Antonio Spurs guard  Joshua Primo   for four games   ... after it says it found he exposed his private parts to multiple women. The league announced the ban on Friday morning ... saying an investigation into the free agent revealed he had "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior." NBA officials called his actions "conduct detrimental to the league." They did, however, note that they "did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures."  Sky Sports were left red-faced after an on-screen graphic mistakenly introduced Chelsea defender Axel Disasi as Noni Madueke on Tuesday night. The pair were both the scoresheet as the Blues thrashed Middlesbrough 6-1 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final to boo their place at Wembley. But when Disasi spoke to Sky Sports after the game, an on-screen graphic introduced him as Madueke instead. Madueke is four years younger than his Chelsea teammate, plays in a different role and is English, while Disasi is French.
