A Nigerian mother is being slammed online after photos showing the injury her little son suffered after she poured hot water on him for spending her money on biscuits without her permission, surfaced online.

The photos were shared by activist, Harrison Gwamnishu
A mother boiled hot water and poured on her son. The boy told us he collected some money from his daily sales to buy biscuit.
No treatment and she still send him to hawk sachet water.
We arrived Nkpor Anambra State to lend our voice and take him to a specialist hospital for treatment.

ISWAP Insurgents Assassinate Village Head In Borno State, Nigeria

Suspected members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly killed the traditional ruler of Kinnari, a remote village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State. The brutal attack took place on the night of Friday, August 1, around 9:00 p.m., when the insurgents stormed the village and gunned down the 65-year-old village head, Goni Kinnari, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama. Following the incident, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, swiftly mobilised to the area and successfully repelled the attackers. The remains of the slain traditional leader were evacuated to the General Hospital in Damasak, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
